This Quartz is made by Ronda and uses an 8040.N caliber engine with 13 jewels.
The Good
If you are looking for confidence and style, this S. Coifman has both in spades. This handsome timepiece starts with a 46mm Rose Gold Plated case and a matching fixed bezel. The round dial is meticulous and is a beautiful metallic white that showcases the blued dial hands that run from the center to the subdials to the sweeping day of the week retrograde.
The pumpkin style crown adds some interest to this sleek and sophisticated piece and allows the pushers on each side of it to match the Rose Gold bracelet that’s polished and sleek. At 22mm wide, this bracelet is designed for elegance and it perfectly matches the case, the bezel, the rose gold dial accents, the crown, and the two pushers. You can’t go wrong with Rose Gold.
The water resistance is also decent — with a 50 meter (165 feet) / 5 ATM resistance rating, this S. Coifman model will remain safe in reasonable conditions and you won’t have to worry about rain, watching your hands, accidently dropping it into some water or a pool, and so forth. While you should not go snorkeling with it, it will definitely survive any mishaps so you can enjoy it for years to come.
The Bad
Considering the price of this Invicta ($409.00 retail), it is somewhat disappointing that it contains a 13 jewel Quartz movement rather than an Automatic. However, since the dial features a sweeping day of the week retrograde calendar, a half subdial, two traditional subdials, a split calendar window, and a three-hand main dial, it makes sense that Invicta could not create an affordable automatic mechanical movement that could work with this design and all of the dial features.
Functionality
There is absolutely nothing negative to say about the functionality of this model by Invicta. The design is not only stunning and unique, but fully functional and designed to be used rather than simply admired.
The Swiss Quartz does its job well and provides precise timekeeping and powers a pretty large range of features located on the main dial.
The water resistance is on par with other watches of this caliber and the use of Rose Gold Plated Stainless Steel gives this timepiece a polished and sophisticated look for a great price.
Highlights
First off, the flame fusion crystal is flawless and allows the light to come through and hit the beautiful dial just right. The dial it metallic white and with blued main and subdial hands, rose gold accents, silver subdial fill, and a beautiful range of texture, this face has an incredible range that only S. Coifman and Invicta could pull off.
The Swiss-made Quartz movement is made by Ronda and is very accurate — it powers quite a bit on this dial: a day of the week retrograde from 10 to 2 o’clock, a 1/10th seconds subdial near 3 o’clock, a 60 minute subdial, a split-date window above 6 o’clock, and a 30 minute subdial near 9 o’clock. In addition, you will find Arabic numerals and index markers at all hour positions that keep the time via blued S. Coifman dial hands. Speaking of dial hands, the day of the week retrograde features a great, snake-like curved hand that adds additional style and uniqueness to this piece.
