The Good
The design of the V8 is simply world class from the high quality case material, the crystal, subdials, and beautiful display. At 42.5mm in diameter, the case size is optimal for men to wear as a classic dress watch. The silver dial is complemented by Rose Gold-tone stick indexes at the hours, Rose Gold-tone dial hands, and the Rose Gold PVD stainless steel of the case.
With a solid backing and a beautifully crafted black microperforated leather strap, this timepiece looks gorgeous underneath the genuine Sapphire crystal of the dial window.
The hands feature luminous material so you can view the time in low light. Another surprise is the water resistance — this Tissot V8 has a water resistance of 330 feet (100 meters).
With a variety of timekeeping options to choose from, you can keep complete time with this V8. The features include a Chronograph, Tachymeter, date, hour, minute, and second.
The Bad
This is an incredibly impressive timepiece that does not have any real negative components or aspects.
Functionality
On the beautiful silver dial lies three subdials at the 2, 6, and 10 o’clock positions. These are the subdials for 60 second, 30 minute, and 1/10th of a second. Intersecting with the 6 o’clock subdial is the calendar date window.
This watch is also a Chronograph and features a Tachymeter with the appropriate markings on the bezel. Being able to tell relative time (via Chronograph), the hour, minute, second, and day of the month, is a great range of timekeeping in a watch of this price.
Along with the Quartz movement and the 100 meter / 330 feet water resistance, this Tissot V8 is a great watch with a lot of promise.
Highlights
This V8 Chronograph model has it all: a great power source, excellent water resistance, a wonderful design, a variety of timekeeping options, quality construction materials, and a great leather strap to bring it together.
The highlights are impossible to state without naming all of its functions and design features. If we had to choose, the Rose Gold PVD stainless steel case, genuine scratch resistant Sapphire crystal, and the host of timekeeping functions are definitely the highlights of this V8. The 330 feet / 100 meter water resistance isn’t too bad either — especially with the active man who wants to wear this timepiece casually.
